A personal memoir from the White House and beyond
From the Little Green House to the White House is a memoir of a man who became President Kennedy’s Staff Assistant, served three additional presidents and served as the head of the Small Business Administration.
As my parents, John and Irene McNally, approached their 50th wedding anniversary, my mother passed away after a long, courageous battle with chronic cardiopulmonary illness. Through their 50 years together, they had six children—one daughter and five sons, traveled the world together serving God, their country and their family, and moved from their small hometown of Webster, Massachusetts to the White House and back to the shores of Webster Lake.
This book tells the story of their love, their marriage and the road to and through the White House years and beyond. It encompasses their family, friends and their six children through adulthood. Through these pages, you will learn of their commitment to God, to each other, to their family and the country they served.
