JIT: Christmas Delivery

Victoria contacted us in the first half of 2011 about publishing her family’s story. She was just about finished and ready to hand the project over to us. A month later, she uploaded a nicely-designed PDF to our MobileMe server... and a folder of photos. That moment ended up being the beginning of an adventure that Victoria didn’t think she was ready for.
Tom’s email back to Victoria broke the bad news to her that we couldn’t just “insert the photos” into her ready-to-go PDF. Her next step was moving her text into InDesign, reformatting and inserting the photos where appropriate. In late October she uploaded her completed book in PDF.
A proof and five new pages later, we printed and bound her books in beautiful black imitation leather with gold stamping on the spine and front cover. We got them to the Post Office in the Nick of time (ever wonder where that saying came from?)... ‘twas literally the night before the night before Christmas...

Hi Tom,
I got the book! Love it!!
Thanks. Made my Christmas!
