This is the kind of book everybody should have.

It’s perfect for reading while you wait to pick up the kids or while your wife is shopping. It’s a great book to take to the bathroom.
Stan Cohen is a wonderful story teller and he reveals himself in bits and pieces as he moves from one story to another. There are childhood stories, stories of a young man facing adulthood in the army and later in the hospital. There are stories of marriage and life and all of them bring a smile or a tear and sometimes both at the same time.
Each story should be consumed at one time. They’re poignant—as a little boy delivers telegrams during World War II or when Stan faces brain surgery for cancer at the age of 28. There are stories about his job with the Internal Revenue Service and an absolutely hysterical story about a “male surgical procedure.” These stories are wistful, funny and often insightful. Stan Cohen says it isn’t easy being Jewish, but he sure makes it entertaining.
I loved the book.
--Phil Johnston, PhD.
